Mrs. Deborah Coccimiglio

Welcome to math class! This year, I will be teaching Geometry, Honors Geometry, and Calculus. I have been teaching at Poquoson High School for thirteen years. Prior to Poquoson, I taught at Kecoughtan High School and Menchville High School. I have been teaching high school math for 21 years now. I am looking forward to having a good school year.

  • I am excited to be starting the 4th Quarter with you! Our class may look a little different than what we are used to, but we will navigate our way through this change together. Her is some information you may find helpful.

When we have live sessions, they will be every Wednesday from 1pm-2pm (for Geometry) and 2pm-3pm (for Calculus) on Zoom. Go to zoom.com, click on join meeting, and enter the meeting id: 952 2800 4504 (for Geometry); and 936 4059 2820 (for Calculus).

These sessions will be used as an opportunity for you to get extra help on your assignments. You only need to join these meetings if you need help. This is not a requirement. However, I would love to see your faces again. :)

It is going to be very important that you check your PCPS GMail account, Google Classroom, and Remind at least once a day as these will be the primary ways that I will communicate with you during the 4th quarter. I will post all announcements, resources, and assignments on Google Classroom.

If you are not sure how to join or use Google Classroom or just need a quick refresher, please take a moment to watch this short video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6D3wHNU2AE

I will have office hours all quarter where I will be available to help you or answer any questions you may have. If you email me or send me a remind before 3pm Monday through Friday, you should receive a reply from me that day. If you send a message to me after 3pm Monday through Friday or on the weekend, you may not receive a reply until the following weekday.

Please don't hesitate to email me if you have questions. I am here to help you.

I hope to see you Wednesday for our Zoom session. Have a good day.

    Mrs. Coccimiglio
