Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Jeffrey Fry
April 14, 2020
I am excited to be starting the 4th quarter with you! Our class may look a little different than what we are used to, but we will navigate our way through this change together. Here is some information you may find helpful.
You will need to attend live instructional sessions with your general education teachers. I or another special educator will be attending these sessions as well so we will be able to keep in touch with you. The times for the live sessions will be posted on your teacher's websites, but if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
It is very important that you check your PCPS GMail account and our Google Classroom at least once a day as these will be the primary ways that I will communicate with you during the 4th quarter.
If you need help with assignments during 4th quarter, I am here to assist you. My office hours are listed below, but you can always email me and I will respond as quickly as possible.
If you are not sure how to join or use Google Classroom or just need a quick refresher, please take a moment to watch this short video, How to Sign-in to Google Classroom and Access Materials.
I will have office hours all quarter where I will be available to help you or answer any questions you may have. They are 11:00-12:00.
Please don't hesitate to email me if you have questions!

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! My name is Jeff Fry and I will be your child's teacher this year. This is my 7th year working in Poquoson and I am truly blessed to be a part of such a tight knit community. Previously I worked for Colonial Williamsburg in a wide variety of jobs. I grew up in Fairfax with both a younger sister and brother. I graduated from Radford University in 1990 with a Bachelors of Business Administration with an emphasis on accounting. I completed my Masters in Special Education in 2013 at the College of William & Mary and began my teaching career that fall with Poquoson High School. I currently live in Williamsburg with my wife, Kristine, and our two sons Elijah & Noah (ages 16 and 13). In addition, we have two dogs (husky/shephard mix and a pug), three cats (one of which is 21 years old) and one bearded dragon named Gary.
Over the past seven years I have become very aware of the impact teachers can have on the lives of their students. I attend numerous athletic events (both home and away) throughout the school year to support our student athletes as they proudly represent our high school! Additionally, I coach cross country, winter track and spring track. While I have coaching commitments throughout the school year, I fully believe that academics has to be a TOP priority for all of our students. I am availabe after school every day for extra assistance with any subject that your child is struggling with. They just need to let me know that they are planning to stay after school so that I return to my classroom after dismissal.
Please feel free to contact me throughout the school year with any questions, comments or concerns!
