    • Students will build on prior knowledge of sports, entertainment, and recreation marketing. This course focuses on the principles of management and planning supported by research, financial, economic, ethical, and legal concepts. Students will be able to plan and execute an event, establish a sports, entertainment, or recreation marketing product/business, and develop a career plan. Academic skills (mathematics, science, English, and history/social science) related to the content are a part of this course. Computer/technology applications supporting the course are studied.
    • Lessons throughout the course will complement the essential project design elements of Project Based Learning. Our course will encourage the developmental growth of our students following the 5C Skills: Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Creativity, and Citizenship.
    • Student participation in DECA is strongly encouraged. DECA is a Student Association for Marketing Students therefore all marketing students are highly recommended to be active members and participate in all activities and fundraisers throughout the year. Students can elect to participate in DECA for extra credit for their nine weeks grade.
