• Alg I Pt.II

    Welcome to Alg I Pt.II.

It is a pleasure to have you in my math class.  Everyone can be successful in math if they are willing to put in the work.  It is imperative to keep up in all Algebra classes.  If you feel yourself getting overwhelmed or falling behind, I will be available after school to help you.  All students and parents can follow the upcoming assignments on the calendar on the school website.

As far as calculators go, I highly recommend that all students have their own TI-84 graphing calculator.   The curriculum of most high school math classes (as well as future college classes) will require the use of an advanced level graphing calculator.  The grading scale for all classes are as follows:  15% for homework, 35% for all quizzes and 50% for all test grades.

I look forward to having a great year with all of you!

    Attention Parents and Students:

    3rd Quarter Information

The 3rd Quarter ended on March 13. Students have the opportunity to improve their grade if they wish by following the instructions provided and reading the email that was sent to students on their school Gmail account on Monday, March 30. If you are happy with your 3rd Quarter grade, then you need to take no additional action at this time. Information about 4th Quarter assignments will be coming to you soon.

Students who have a 1 in the gradebook can attached those assignments to google classroom and I will give you the credit.  Students who did the assignments provided over the last two weeks will be given a 100 for a quiz grade.  This 100 will replace the lowest quiz grade of the quarter.  For the students who did not complete the assignments, there will be no penalty.  Fourth quarter begins April 15.

Everyone try not to get too stressed out about the upcoming fourth quarter.  We will be learning the information that is essential for you moving on to the next class.  The assignments will be more brief than normal.   The quizzes and tests will be very similar to the review sheets.  I am going to be attaching the lessons on Google Meet.  I will also have a time each day when you can ask questions.
