• The 3rd Quarter ended on March 13, 2020. If you have any questions about your student's progress, please email me (listed below). The 3rd Quarter report cards will be mailed home to students on April 17th.

For the work packets that were sent home on March 13th, students were not required to complete the work, nor will it be graded. If you wish to submit your child's work from March 16-27, please drop it off at your convenience in the box provided outside of the main entrance of the school. Understand that you are not obligated to turn this work in for any reason. Please be sure your child's name in on all the papers or place together in the bag or an envelope.

The 4th Quarter will begin on Wednesday, April 15th and more information will be forthcoming soon about expectations and assignments.

I will be putting together some physical education lessons for your child and perhaps your family to participate in. I miss the children so much! Please be well and take care of each other.

Welcome to Physical Education

Physical education is a great place to learn and explore how our bodies move.  Much of the curriculum is based upon fitness and skill instruction while incorporating games to reinforce the intended goals and concepts.  Nothing beats learning, laughing, and pink cheeks! I can assure you that PE is chocked full of each!

Please remember that tennis shoes and sneakers are the safest shoe to wear to school. I do understand having adorable shoes to coordinate with an outfit, but ultimately, safety is our primary concern.  In addition to PE class, your child will participate in recess outside on the playground daily.  Furthermore, school policy states that if your child is wearing unsafe or improper footwear, they may not use the playground equipment.

As you develop and refine school-home routines, please try to get into the habit of knowing your child’s encore schedule (PE, art, music, library, technology, and guidance). PE comes after library in the rotation.

As an incentive for students to wear athletic footwear to physical education class, I have a sticker chart on the gym wall. Each time the entire class is outfitted properly, a sticker is earned. After 10 stickers the students will vote for their favorite games to play and they will get to play those games on a designated date. My goal is that the students would get this opportunity 2-3 times throughout the year.
