Welcome,

Please read the following message for the most updated information:

The 3rd Quarter ended on March 13. If you have any questions about your student’s progress, please email me. 3rd Quarter report cards will be mailed home to students on April 17th.

For the work that was sent home on March 13th, students were not required to complete the work, nor will it be graded. If you wish to submit your child’s work from March 16 - March 27 for me to review and provide feedback, please drop it off at your convenience in the box provided outside of the main entrance of the school. Understand that you are not obligated to turn this work in for any reason. Please make sure your student’s name is on all of the papers or place them in an envelope.

The 4th Quarter will start on Wednesday, April 15 and more information will be coming to you soon about assignments and expectations.

We appreciate your patience and support as we navigate these unique circumstances

I hope everyone is staying well and following all of the safety guidelines.  I miss seeing all of my students.

Welcome to my class.   I am so excited that you are a part of our classroom.  We will be learning  many new topics and skills.  Continue to check back on this page for updated information and activities.

This is my 28th year of teaching.  I have taught K, 1st, 2nd, 7th, and 8th grades.  I LOVE second grade and have been teaching at the primary level for the past 22 years.  I live in Poquoson with my husband and 2 rescue dogs.  I am a dog lover.  I have 4 beautiful daughters and 4 grandchildren.  All of my children went through Poquoson City Public schools.  My favorite subjects to teach are math, science and reading.  Some of my favorite activities are walking, biking, golf, any type of puzzles (word, sudoku, scrambles), reading and I even knit.   I am a Poquoson graduate and attended Virginia Tech, VT, for my bachelors of education degree and my masters degree is from VCU.
