    Happy Virtual Learning!

When schools are closed for any reason, it can be difficult for students to understand why they are not going to school and that they must do school work from home.  This video social story explains what learning may look like in the home. Students can watch it as many times as needed!

Welcome Back!

I am excited to be starting the 4th Quarter with you! Our class may look a little different than what we are used to, but we will navigate our way through this change together. Here is some information you may find helpful.

I will be posting all of our 4th Quarter lessons and assignments here and through email. The day’s lessons and activities will be posted by 8:30 am each day. I encourage all of my students to check their general education teacher's webpages as well.

We will have live sessions via Google Meet between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM. These won’t be every day, but I will let you know EXACTLY when they will be. Parents – continue to look in your email for additional information from me.

I am attempting to develop a sign up genius. Parents will receive an email to sign up for a live Google Meet Session for the week and then send an email to confirm the day and time with a Google Meet link and code. I plan to see each student once during the week in our live Google Meets.

I will also be sending you a sign in for lessons, library books, and games through the Unique Learning Systems/N2Y curriculum website. Students will have several daily lessons in reading and math from which to choose.

I will have office hours all quarter where I will be available to help you or answer any questions you may have. My office hours will be 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Monday through Friday. Feel free to reach out to me by phone or email if you need anything.

Please don’t hesitate to email me if you have questions!

This will be different, but it will be great! I am excited to see my sweet students soon!

Mrs. Martin

For Students on Adapted Curriculum:

The 3rd Quarter ended on March 13. While we understand that content grades may not be your primary concern, please know that progress on IEP goals is forthcoming. If you have any questions about your student's progress related to skills that were being addressed when schools closed, please email me. IEP goals progress reports will be provided the week after spring break.

For the work that was sent home on March 13th, students were not required to complete the work, nor will it be graded. If you wish to submit your child's work from March 16-March 27 for me to review and provide feedback, please drop it off at your convenience in the box provided outside of the main entrance of the school. Understand that you are not obligated to turn this work in for any reason. Please make sure your student's name is on all of the papers or place them in an envelope.

The 4th Quarter will start on Wednesday, April 15 and more information will be coming to you soon about continuity of learning, maintenacne of skills, and suggestions for activities at home for your student. We appreciate you patience and support as we navigate these unique circumstances.

I miss all of my students and hope everyone is doing well!

~ Mrs. Martin

During the two-week mandated closure, students should be working on the instructional material that was sent home with students on Friday, March 13.

I will be available to support you with questions via email during my office hours: 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Thank you.
