Mrs. Williams

Dear Parents and Students,

I want to greatly thank everybody for your patiences and flexibility. During this time, teachers are planning/learning how to use virtual teaching to best help and support all students. I miss my class so much!  I am excited to see everyone's face again, even if its through a screen. I do ask that you are patient as I am learning how to virtually teach. We will get through everything together! Our main goal at this point is to make sure everyone can stay safe and healthy.

Below is important information that you can also find in your email.

The 3rd Quarter ended on March 13. Students have the opportunity to improve their grade if they wish by following the instructions provided and reading the email I sent to parents on March 30. If you are happy with your 3rd Quarter grade, then you need to take no additional action at this time. Information about 4th Quarter assignments will be coming to you soon.

If you would like to improve your READING or MATH grades, please turn in the work from the first three days of the paper packet that was sent home on Friday, March 13.  Directions on how to turn in the assignments can be found here: (how to turn in assignments) Links to each day of work can be found here for reference: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3

Welcome to Mrs. Williams's 5th grade classroom! I am looking forward to my second year at Poquoson Elementary School. My husband and I moved to Virginia from San Antonio, Texas. Though we moved from Texas, I am originally from Tennessee, and I received my bachelor's and master's degree through the University of Tennessee (Go VOLS!).

I am thankful to serve the Poquoson community for a second year. My goal is to guide students to academic advancement and provide them with opportunities for current and future success. If you would like to contact me, the best way is by email. Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to collaborating with you to best support the students at Poquoson Elementary.
