Hello Everyone!

My name is Lisa Barton. I am a first grade teacher at Poquoson Primary School. I enjoy working with children and helping them reach for their dreams through their education. I believe that every child should be valued and treated with respect. An education should empower a child and help him or her make a positive contribution to their community and our world. 

My husband and I grew up in Poquoson and chose to raise our two beautiful daughters here. We have a sweet foxhound named Abbie and our oldest daughter and her husband have blessed us with two grandpuppies. During the summer I like to spend my free time reading, relaxing by the pool, and spending time with family.
