I am excited to be starting the 4th Quarter with you! Our class may look a little different than what we are used to, but we will navigate our way through this change together. Here is some information you may find helpful.
When we have live instructional sessions or small group meetings, they will be scheduled on Wednesdays between 1:30-3:30.
It is going to be very important that you check your PCPS GMail account and our Google Classroom at least once a day as these will be the primary ways that I will communicate with you during the 4th quarter.
If you are not sure how to join or use Google Classroom or just need a quick refresher, please take a moment to watch this short video. How to Sign-in to Google Classroom and Access Materials
Google Classroom Codes-in case you missed them:
I will have office hours all quarter where I will be available to help you or answer any questions you may have. I will be available from 10:00-11:00AM daily.
Please don’t hesitate to email me if you have questions!

I'm a Poquoson native who married a "Bull Islander" on Valentine's Day 33 years ago. I've taught for over 18 years since graduating from CNU and this is my eleventh year in Poquoson. I was honored to be recognized as the 2017- 2018 PMS teacher of the year as well as the district teacher of the year for the city of Poquoson!
Thanks to my husband's military career in the Air Force, we've lived in a variety of places including Germany, Massachusetts, and Utah. I've enjoyed a variety of teaching experiences everywhere we were stationed.
During this time, our family expanded with the birth of our two sons- Jesse and Brett. Jesse is a graduate of Longwood University where he majored in Education. He's currently working on his masters degree in administration. He teaches math and science to 5th grade students in Madison, Va.
Brett graduated from Dakota State University (South Dakota) with degrees in Video Game Design and Computer Science. He's now employed by InCadence and works as a Jr. Computer Programmer.
I'm excited to be teaching 6th grade US History again this year! I look forward to working with you and building a successful partnership with your family. It's up to all of us to ensure that a very positive learning experience exists for everyone!
