Poem in Your Pocket Day

Poem in your pocket winners

Poem in Your Pocket Day is a twist of a verse, a glimmer of metaphor, and a splash of simile.    Poquoson Middle School Library added some lyrical magic by providing poems written by poet, Allan Wolf.  Allan Wolf visited middle school library April 24th and 25th to discuss the art of poetry writing.

Throughout the day, students carried poems in their pockets and teachers selected students to share their poems with their class.  Each student that was selected to come to the library to read their poem received a prize award.    By the end of the day, the elements of poetry came together to help paint images of lyrical enchantment for our students.
