Author, Marc Tyler Nobelman visited Poquoson Primary students telling them how research is much like being a detective, trying to hunt down information from many different sources, and he gave examples of little known facts he found out while researching for his two books, Boys of Steel and Bill the Boy Wonder. His research and book, Bill the Boy Wonder, also led to the making of the Hulu documentary, Batman and Bill. He shared how he started writing stories/comics as a young child, as many writers do, and encouraged students to write about things they love, just as he always loved superheroes and chose to write about them. He talked briefly about two of his other books that the students listened to during library resource. PPS students were invited to wear a super hero shirt on the day of his visit and several classroom teachers incorporated some super hero themed activities.
