Baseball: Good luck to the JV Boys Baseball team as they pick up their game from Friday against Grafton. The game is at Grafton High School at 4:30pm. Teachers, please allow th JV baseball players to leave 10 minutes early from 7th period to change and make the bus.
Odyssey of the Mind: Congratulations to all of the Poquoson Odyssey of the Mind teams who competed this past Saturday at Menchville High School. All six teams from the division, PES, PMS and PHS, placed first and will advance on April 6th to the state competition to be held at Manassas Park High School in Manassas Virginia.
Team members representing PMS, as well as 5 PMS students representing the high school, are:Kennedy Charles, Elizabeth Lamprecht, Victoria Lamprecht, Cassidy Larson, Karen Lee, Kate Lee, Emalee McAdams, Cameron Brewer, Jason Norville, AJ Smith, Kristopher Holloway, Dylan Robinson, Ethan Jordan. The 5 middle school students on the high school team are: Colton Wojewoda, Connor McDaniels, Ella Tinsley, Ella Clarke and Kate Elliott. Congratulations and good luck on April 6th!!
Variety Show: The Variety Show has rehearsal after-school today, Monday, March 18th starting at 2:40pm. Reminder for chorus students; this is your graded rehearsal for the 3rd marking period.
Battle of the Books: Congratulations to the Battle of the Books Team! They made it to the final round in the regional competition and came in 3rd place overall. Team members include John Siu, Alexander Jones, Reagan Stanton, Jude Purdie, Isaac Wines, and Audrey Chou.
K-Team: The K-Team will meet after school today, Monday, in the library.
Author: Nathan Hale books are now on sale in the library. Books may be purchased for $10 each. Author Nathan Hale will be visiting our school and drawing cartoons in the library on April 19th.
Spring Pictures: Thursday, March 21st is Spring Picture Day.
NJHS: The next mandatory meeting of the NJHS will be on Wednesday, March 20 from 2:35 - 3:30. We will be preparing for the April Induction Ceremony. Please bring a parent note for any absence.
Pennies for Patients: Tomorrow, March 20th, will kick off our annual fundraiser; Pennies for Patients. First period teachers, please allow your SCA representative to give more details to your class.
April Henry Skype: 7th graderes are reminded to return their permission slips for the "Hershey and Henry" skype event with author April Henry. Participating students receive a free autographed copy of the book Count All Her Bones. More details are available in the library.
Nathan Hale: Books by author Nathan Hale are on sale for $10 each in the library. Nathan Hale will be visiting our school on April 19th and will draw the charachter "The Hangman" in all books purchased.
